Do you remember a time when you were so excited about the possibilities of a great, wonderful new thing about to happen in your life? That perfect new job was just around the corner, only you were simply waiting for them to call back with the good news. The interview seemed like an effortless exercise of verbal tennis, and you had more than a few aces up your sleeve. How could they not see your talent? Your communication prowess, that perfectly penned resume...they'd definitely be calling you back tomorrow. So it made natural sense for you to call your parents, siblings, friends, anyone who would share in your indomitable excitement.
Only the company didn't call you back.
A day passed. Then another. You convince the wrinkles in your forehead to relax..."they're probably just too busy" you tell yourself. After five days, you start worrying that something terribly tragic must have happened to an employee whose responsibility was to call back and offer you the job. You dial and get the secretary who forwards you to Human Resources. Human Resources?! They must be mistaking me with someone who had a poor interview and clearly wasn't qualified for the job. Your fingers frantically search through phone logs, recalling a direct conversation you had prior to last week's meeting. Activate, unlock. Calling to connect....
More voicemail.
Two weeks of waiting on a sure thing pass by, each new day obscured only by the next. Your recollection of lucid, witty banter between yourself and those bound to bask in your professional glory fades into memory. It's replaced with a form letter 15 days after your interview, thanking you for your interest in the position. It appears they've decided to "go in a different direction."
You put your life on hold for those two weeks. You told those closest to you what a great fit you'll be at the new job. Only there was no new job. There was no symbiotic match of skills. There was just you...and your cheerful rejection form letter, mocking your hope with the promise that "your information will be kept on file as soon as another opportunity arises."
But what hurts most is that your friends and family will know the whole story. They already know you better than most, which makes the discomfort like an itch at the top of your back that tauntingly travels south toward that one spot along the spine you can't quite reach. You just gotta deal with it.
Two years ago, Dropship Direct started with an idea about how wholesale inventory data could be better managed. We called the idea PushList. After thousands and thousands of lines of code and countless developer talent, we believed it was time to announce a live launch of our new marketplace data feed service. First, it was October. Then November. Then December. Then...you get the idea.
It's now the end of January 2015. We'll be launching next week, or not at all. Or perhaps you won't know when we truly launch, as we're not sure ourselves. Maybe we shouldn't have told everyone we knew simply based on how excited we were about that new job waiting around the corner.
On the bright side: PushList works. It really, really works. We can't wait to share our excitement with you...in a tangible, this-is-really-happening sort of way.
If you haven't signed up to be notified about the DAY we launch (and it better be soon!), here's the link: http://dropshipdirect.com/pushlist-dropship-data-feed-technology

Just an Introduction
This is it: our first official launch into the realm of inventory data feeds and online retailer marketplaces.
For those checking in for the first time, this page serves as the official blog of PushList.com and all PushList related company activity. Hopefully, readers will be able to gain valuable insight to our world of data, digits, and wholesale decimals. The heart behind our PushList creation is to make supply chains smaller, smarter, and in general, more useful for those involved.
Whether you're a manufacturer, a wholesale distributor, or an online merchant, chances are you've encountered your share of headaches when dealing with product sourcing and order fulfillment. We have an audacious proposition for you, the reader: What if it was much, much easier for a manufacturer to consolidate retailer/merchant relationships in one place? Imagine you, an online retailer, could source the vast majority of your wholesale inventory needs from the same company. Finally, blend these possibilities with a daring idea: you can pull inventory data from new vendor sources, and then PUSH them to whichever online marketplace you'd like.
How's that for an idea? That's why we exist. More to follow soon.
